Went to the Dr. today. Im sick with something and ive got a fever. They gave me the 5 day "Z-Pack" (aka Azithromycin) to take for antibiotics once a day. They also gave me a Nasal Spray (Fluticasone Propionate) to take twice a day. The Dr.s office is now closed, but I need to know if I can take Excedrin on top of those other meds? If any Dr. out there knows if I can do this, please let me know. I need a fever reducer. Thanks.

According to what I checked on this drug interaction site, you can also take Excedrin (which is acetaminophen and caffeine). Since information on the net is not 100% accurate, you can call a pharmacy and check. You don't need to talk to your doctor, just a pharmacist.

P.S. Reading the other answers: Excedrin does have acetaminophen, which is a fever reducer, and they make some without aspirin. Just don't buy the Excedrin *Migraine* one, or just get Tylenol. I didn't check for interactions with ibuprophen, you can do that yourself at the link I posted above.

asprin doesn't reduce fevers,it's a blood thinner.so you shouldn't take it for a fever anyway, and I know for a fact you can take tylenol or motrin with a Z-pack and the nasal spray(I have used both and my doctor told me to take motrin or tylenal with them)

you can take exedrin with both of these, but ibuprofen (motrin) or acetominophen (tylenol) are more effective fever reducers than aspirin (the active ingredient in exedrin).

To be safe, you can always ask a pharmacist. They usually know more than doctors about drug interaction.
