A hero is a token chosen by a group to represent an idea that everyone within the group holds sublime. A hero may "dare" to do things people idealise, or may be exceptional at pretending to do those things.

A "hero" is a label that our society puts on someone who has conspicuously gone way above what that society considers normal action to successfully achieve a positive outcome. However, hero's don't have to fit into this definition entirely, there are those in our society who inspire us and to us they are our heroes. I think a positive mentor is as much a "hero" as the guy who scrambled onto the burning wreck of an airplane on an aircraft carrier to pull out the pilot......Maybe even more so, because a mentor has the ability to inspire many people, like Opra Winfree.

A hero,
A hero in my eyes is someone who is selfless, and kind. Someone who puts others in front of himself. A hero is someone who is willing to sacrifice everything they have to make someone else happy. A hero is someone who stands strong and laughs even when on the inside his heart is torn in two. A hero is someone who will go the extra mile. A hero is someone who will help you carry the burdens. A hero is someone who watches out for you even when you don't. A hero is someone who is always around even when you don't want them.
