Sorry to hear about ur break up..
I would personally(I'm divorced too 10 year now and he went off with me best friend who kids were all at school together and all the mother knew) I would hold my head high smile and chat and let it seem u r getting on in life, its hard i know and some days are worse than other and that's ok to have a bad day, try not to listen to idle gossip as they are all time wasters, if u want to know anything about anything then ask the people concerned, go home and cry in private or in front of ur close friends but most of all ...be you as ur special, beautiful and worth ur weight in gold for being u
best of luck

Hold your head up. You weren't defined by your relationship and I'm sure people knew and loved you before the relationship started. If the person you were with allowed it to be so public then you had a lucky escape. You're better than that and don't let anyone tell you different. Get your life back, do what you want for a while. And when you're ready....... dust yourself off and get back on that horse (so to speak, lol). Good luck with that xx

Get reinforcement from your family. If they are upset with you then look yourself in the eye and tell yourself you are worthy of respect from every stranger on the street and also anyone who knows you. They may think they know the details of the break but only you and your mate really do. Then get out there and keep making a difference in the world as you always have. Remember, you ARE important to someone and you may REALLY be the shining star in someone's day.

Remember who you are inside, and get on with the rebuilding of your life. Believe it or not, other people have their own lives on which to focus. You may think that "everyone is looking" or "everyone is talking" about you, but chances are that people have moved on to the next bit of gossip. Take pride in the daily accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem. Here's a book I recommend:

I reckon you should lay low and go for the dignified silence approach. Just surround yourseld for a bit with a few close trusted friends until it blows over and then don't talk about it if anyone who isn't a close friend tries to talk to you about it. Peope will be talking about something else soon so just concentrate on trying to have fun and put it out of your mind

Stay focused on you.
Keep very busy with your life and your own family.
Find some new different outlets for yourself
Love yourself and know that no matter what any one has said or done it's up to you to move beyond the break up and find peace for you.

What? Are you a politician or a celebrity? Who cares? Like noone in your perfect town has ever divorced or had affairs or "gossipy" scandels, or skeletons in the closet? Hold your head high and who gives a sh*t what people do say or think. you'll be fine.

You can't have much to recover or you wouldn't have rowed in public to begin with, so why worry about it now??
