depends on what your personal preference is on brand, but in the 5.7's that i have i usually run 10w30 in the winter and 10w40 in the summer. the best thing to do is to look in your owners manuel and see what your manufacture recommends to use. more then likely it will be the 10w30

I am assuming your engine is a 5.7 liter 350. My 94 takes 5w-30. I live in California. If you live in a harsh enviroment (cold or hot) you probably need 10/40 or 10/30. Your owners manual will tell you what is best for your conditions. Make sure it has SAE (society of automotive engineers) on the label. I learned something from my Chevrolet dealer about oil. 5w-30 is pretty thin oil. There is a reason the factory uses it and recommends it. Then thinner the oil the less friction on engine parts thus the better your fuel mileage. The down side of using 5w-30 is unless your engine is tight ( low miles,rings and seals) you might experience oil consumption. My 1994 had 30,000 miles and was using a quart of oil every 2000 miles. The dealer says and showed me a factor bullentin that stated that a quart of oil every 1600 was acceptable! My friend who is a SAE certified mechanic confirmed this. He suggested I use 10/40. That slowed the consumption of oil but my fuel mileage also decreased. I get 17-19 on the freeway at 65 mph. Hope this helps. As far as brands I use what is on sale as long as it has SAE on the label. I change my oil every 5000 miles and do mostly freeway driving.

If you are not presently using oil your manual calls for 5w-30. Do not put 10w-40 in your Suburban and don't be fooled with high mileage oils. Use good quality oil filters, AC Delco, NAPA (Wix), Purolater or Wix by name. If you do not have major leaks it's ( high mileage oil ) a waste of money. Another person recommended Amsoil which is cutting edge stuff. I personally have had good luck with Havoline, Brad Penn, Quaker State and Valvoline. If you do a lot of town driving change it @ 3,000 mile intervals. Mostly highway driving 5,000 miles is fine. Good Luck.

If you're wondering what oil weight (ie. 10w-30), then check the drivers manual. If you don't have it, check with a dealership or oil change and they'll know.

If you're wondering what Brand of Oil, then I would recommend Mobil 1. Although anyone of the major brands should do. Possibly one with care for older cars or high mileage.

If you're wondering what type of oil, I would recommend regular and not synthetic. Synthetic oil is great, but older cars will have cracks in the engine that become sealed by burned oil. Synthetic does not burn like regular does, and soon you would notice oil leakage.

PS: If you loose a ton of oil anyway, just go with the cheapest brand you can find and buy it in 5 gal. containers.

If your truck is high mileage you should use Mobil high mileage or if the truck has normal low mileage go with 10w-30 and don't be worried about what kind you should use try to find something that will keep the engine moving like Pennzoil or Mobil

i assume those I made us for dinner. Hamburger patty. soften. Caramelize onion, fry very great yet skinny hamburger, fry on med-severe on the two aspects till finally completed and eliminate from warmth. Butter bread and upload slice of cheese, burger, spoonful of onion, sliced roma tomatoes and then yet another slice o butteredfbread. Brill cheese on medium severe to create crust. I sprinkled them with some parmeson cheese from packets to characteristic slightly extra crunch to the bread. Grilled cheese with hamburger or patty soften. I used a packet of ranch dressing mixture in the burger.

dont kill yourself thinking just use mobil 10w30 none synte.
period. knocking on start on this 5.7 is normal .if is only for 3 seconds.if not you got a problem.
