I had morning sickness from week 6 to week 15...then it went away like magic...poof. It all depends. I know people who were done at eight weeks (they were really annoying...they kept freaking out that I was still sick.) And I had other friends who were sick the entire time (sorry for the bad news...I always hated it when people told me this.) I hope yours goes away soon. I was miserable with mine, but it helped to stay busy at work. When I was busy I didn't feel as sick because I couldn't stop and think about it. I also got used to it, people really felt bad for me, but I got used to throwing up everything and it just became almost a ritual. I knew most of the time when I was going to throw up (because of when I eat, when I got up, etc.) It helped because I teach Kindergarten and you can't exactly just leave the room when you feel queasy. And when it was done, I pretty much forgot about how miserable it was.

It CAN take 12-14 weeks but it can also last the entire pregnancy. With my first I was lucky enough to not have any morning sickness but with my second I had it up until I delivered. That rarely happens but just in case keep ginger ale in the fridge and crakers by your bed!

It depends on the person.

With my second pregnancy I was sick for the entire 9 months - I could barely brush my teeth in the mornings and would have to wait till mid afternoon when the nausea subsided enough to brush them.

But with my first pregnancy I had mild morning sickness for the first 3 months and then I was healthy as an Ox, you could have thrown me into a room filled with every air born disease and I wouldn't get sick.

Morning sickness is very common early in a pregnancy. It tends to go away later in pregnancy, and it's almost always gone by the second trimester (the fourth month). But there isn't a set time for it to stop because each woman is different, and each pregnancy is different.

For the majority of people it disappears by the end of the first trimester. Unfortunately for ones like myself it is not always the case. I was sick for almost 7 months with each child. Make sure not to take vitamins on an empty stomach it can make it considerably worse.
