I personally have battled with PCOS for a total of 15 years. I have done all the research been to all the Dr.'s and had all the tests. Yes loosing weight can help. How it works is most women with pcos tend to be insulin resistant, when you loose weight your body works less and with exercise it lowers your blood sugar levels. There isn't so much insulin in the body to absorb. If you produce too much and your body cant use it you have high blood sugar levels and that sets off a chain reaction. It will inhibit ovulation and in turn causing infertility. Your best bet is to talk with your OBGYN/RE and a nutritionist and work out a diet and exercise plan that is best for you. Good Luck!

It totally depends on your health, your genes...your make up. NO ONE here can give you the absolute answer. It totally depends on how severe your PCOS is as well. I have a friend with PCOS who has 3 precious boys with no problem, I have another friend with PCOS who spent 7 years trying and just gave birth....but after a lot of pain, procedures, and money wasted on fertility procedures.

I was told I have a mild case of PCOS...but my body isn't dropping eggs...so, how am I supposed to get prego with no eggs. Tell me that! :)

A great support system is a group of ladies dealing with the exact same thing!! Check out the site below...I learned a lot..also learned that others have it worse than I do. :(

GOOD LUCK!
