Has our society has become a hive of largely conformist, closely regulated people who depend on others for nearly everything?
when I read 'nothing to hide - nothing to fear' so often, I'm tempted to think we have become a too obedient group of people.
We submit weakly, and seem to be most comfortable when we are told what to do ???

It has always been that way for the stupid masses but their are more of them today since natural selection has been temporarily been held at bay and the worst specimens are producing the most. Try reading "Might Is Right" by Ragnar Redbeard - the greatest book of all time.
Yes we are over-civilized and dependent on others which means we are really not free. Most folks are happy wage or salary slaves that worship their masters. They are herd animals that want to be led or herded even happily to the slaughter. They bend knee to worship out of fear to fictional pie in the sky beings.

True! Nobody wants to think for themselves. And everyone is trying to be *nice* so they do not offend anyone elses beliefs or opinions or religions or races or Whatever.
But I say F*ck That, Man! I'll say what I wanna say, I'll do what I wanna do, and I'll live how I wanna live and everyone else can KISS MY ACHING ASSS!!!

Hell no we don't submit!! is that right? yeah I think that's the correct answer. Man I hope that everyone likes it. because I want them to like it. Yeah YEAH we don't conform easily. And that's my final answer!!!!!... well.... until it becomes unpopular then I'll change it for a better one!
