How does it make you feel (proud, happy, angry etc...) to have a bunch of fans all over the country that are just Yankees fans because its easy to be a Yankees fan?

I'm not talking about people from New York or the Northeast states that have no home team. If I was from there I would be a Yankees fan, too, I'm sure. I'm talking about people from California, Texas, the Midwest who only root for the Yankees because they're good. I think a lot of these fans would just as soon put on a Red Sox hat if they started winning 4 or 5 World Series in a row. Does that bother people from New York who are true Yankees fans that people from all over the place just jump on the New York bandwagon? I have to plead ignorance on this, I am a lifelong Royals fan. Our bandwagon only has one wheel and no driver so I have never experienced the feeling of having fans arbitrarily root for my team.

I understand your question. I am a lifetime Yankee fan who now lives in Florida. Just because I moved from NJ doesn't mean I'm not going to root for my Yankees anymore. There are countless true Yankee fans who live all over the country as I'm sure their are true Royals fans who have moved to different parts of the country. There are "fair weather" fans as well. Those are the ones you've talked about who root for the "flavor of the month" club. They jump on the bandwagon as you put it. They are in every sport, not just baseball.

I respect your loyalty to your team. As far as the "fair weather" fan is concerned, he or she is missing the point and is truly missing the joy of baseball.

These people know nothing about the Yankees, and they should stick with a team that grew up with. If u didn't grow up with 1, then take ur home team. Don't say ur a Yankee "fan", buy the real fan's tickets, sit in the real fan's seats, and say u like the Yankees, cause u don't.

I have a friend that moved out of CT (where I live, a place with no baseball team), to Arizona, and is a Yankee fan. I can see that, but not all of these people lived in the NY area.

I cna feel proud, because my team is this good, but I won't, since I can't go 2 games every year because these fairweather fans buy our tickets. Ur right, If the Cardinals win 4 out of 5 WS, then everybody will be Cardinal fans, except 4 me.

If you think it is easy to be a Yankee fan, you are greatly mistaken. You get abused by people all the time if they don't win the World Series. Ten Division titles in a row don't matter unless you've won it all and recently.

It's easy to be a Red Sox fan. They had an eight game winning streak a few years ago and people think the team was one for the ages. What about the "lovable losers", the Cubs. They don't have to win squat and they are everyone's darlings.

But, as far as your question, bandwagon riders don't bother me at all. It comes with years of excellence and you accept it.

What I hate are those Yankee caps with pink or teal lettering. YUCK!

Anyone who roots for the Yankees and is not from New York is a complete joke.
