Your on the right track, sometimes they lap it up, or pace themselves, but always remembering not to dive in head first else they'll be for high jump.

Athletes discuss everday Monday-Friday our hurdles and runs in sessions, it helps with our practice and speed.
Mondays and Fridays I am part of the hurdler group to work on speed and acceleration. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I practice with the jumper group. Tuesday is mostly used for jumping form and technique, Wednesday is our running day, and Thursday is approach work. I also lift after practice Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
