Do I go for it buy the equipment and risk it? or will people be put off buying juice knowing we sell unhealthy coffee? are starbucks too big for me to compete? should I just concentrate on what we do best juices and smoothies? I need some serious help and answers. thanks

do what u do best and make it the best. if you want to do coffee and tea etc, just do standard ones - not lattes etc, otherwise you really are competing with starbucks. Nothing expensive about having American-style glass coffee pots on the go - fresh and all day long, and quick (quicker than a machine!). Sometimes simple is best.
You might also want to consider fair trade stuff - both for the juices and the coffee.

Hi!

Personally, I would give the coffee a miss, coz as you say, juices and smoothies are the nemesis of coffee aren't they?

Then again, like you say, coffee IS huge right now!

I think you have to choose one or the other.

Best of luck!!

You should definitely give the public a choice. You are right, coffee is big now, go for it. Don't think about competing, just offer a full range of beverages and sandwiches etc, which people want, you cannot go wrong then. Good luck.

Turkey with overwhelmed up bits of William Maxwell Aitken with a great number of mayo on toasted white bread - a triple decker - yum. Egg Mayo with spring onion on a crispy baguette Shredded duck interior a wrap. also if you're starting off a juice bar you'll likely have smoothies - acceptable smoothie is a million muller lite vanilla yogurt, ice, blueberries, strawberries and blackberries wizzed up - delish! reliable success with your new employer!

start selling juice and smoothies; after a few weeks poll your customers to see if they want coffee

Don't try to please everybody and stick to the basics, do that which you do best and leave the rest up to the other experts.
Otherwise you'll risk becoming a jack of all trades (and master of none).
