It's not that I have nothing better to do. It's that tingly feeling I get every time I get a best answer. It's that idea that someone might actually take my advice. I don't get taken seriously that often in real life, but I get taken seriously on here! I mean, I AM serious. Very serious. But no one ever asks my opinion on anything. Here, there are millions of people asking for ANYONE's opinion, and sometimes people actually take my advice! It's a really really cool feeling! :-)

Why do we have to be bored, or have anything better to do??
I for one am not bored, I've done all I needed to do, and now I'd like to read the questions people asked, and hopefully be able to give some answers as well.
I like it when someone asks a specific question about songs, or actors, and i know the answer....I don't care whether it's just useless knowledge, real life is serious enough already, and sometimes I want to escape from it.

I believe that is part of it, but truthfully I think it is an ego thing that we feel. when we think we can answer something that someone else cannot. I suppose some of us are really smart and have a lot of answers. I heard that the man who has all the answers, has not been asked the right questions. And yes, I guess some of us are just bored.

I am sure there is a more technical, clevererererer answer that someone will give, but you know that person simply has too much time on their hands, just like us.
However, like a fly to manure, I am drawn to answering this question by some powerful yet unseen force

i like being able to help someone if that's what they need. i like to have a laugh at some of the questions that are posted only intending to get silly answers. i don't go out much so this really does help pass the time. sometimes i leave here crying with laughter at some of the jokes and silly answers people leave.

I've been wondering that...
I do this while I am online doing other things and it gives me a break from some of the more mundane stuff...some of the questions and answers are amusing...

Sometimes, for me, its the mindless rambling. Other times, I really want opinions. But most of all, people intrigue me, and I think that this is better than chat rooms, and online games.

It helps unwind after a hard days work...also, it makes me feel good to answer a serious question with the right solution....I love helping people.....
