Cell phones alone will not increase productivity that much. A Blackberry or similar devices however will increase productivity by ten folds. An employee can reached by e-mail, phone or by text message when he is on the way to a meeting, in a meeting, on his/her way to work, etc. You can be in a meeting and check your calendar along with someone's calendar to set up a meeting. You can send a text to your employee and ask for a quick yes or know. You can send a map to your employee's phone and have him/her meet you somewhere for an impromptu meeting before the employee gets to work to save time and fuel. Not to mention, you can take pictures of things and show it to your organization about your sudden encounter with something that may change your organization's goals.

Your bosses may contact you anytime to ask you something, or even may ask you to get to the office to solve a problem afterhours.
