I know a real while back it was available in hard copy book form, then he switched it to only an e-book to be bought and printed. Don't know the size though-- and amount of poetry and such...

2 years back, I was at Barnes & Nobles and asked them about it-- they had it on thier computer as an E-book I could order, so he at least DID compile them at some point in time..

Well, sort of. Last I heard Koontz still may do the book. There was a limited edition hardcover with some of his poetry with a VERY small print run, and an even smaller numbe of hand lettered books done. It was also available as an ebook download for awhile. A copy of the printed version occasionally turns up on www.abebooks.com (a group of book dealers from all over) but pricey doesn't begin to cover what is being asked for the book. Koontz may do a mass market version someday.

Meanwhile, some of the material is availabe here:

I met Dean Koontz and he told the group of us that he "invented" the "Book of Counted Sorrows" because he wanted to put a quote at the start of a novel and couldn't find anything! So, he decided to make up a book that contained these pearls of wisdom.

Now, I have no knowledge that he ever wrote this book subsequently but there was no book!
