If the government had to 'raise taxes' to pay for the Iraq War, as nations once did, would you still support the war?

I don't support this war, but I definitely support a roll-back of the massive tax cuts Bush enacted so that we can work on chipping away at our massive national debt.

I don't support the war in IRAQ. Afghanistan is a different story. But would I would NOT support raising taxes for either. We need to cut entitlements, subsidies, tax incentives for energy/etc..

You know it wouldn't happen-- they'll just borrow more money.
Borrow and spend conservatives.

Yes I would. But, they have not raised taxes for war. Instead, they have raised taxes for "entitlements" (handouts to others). Fifty years ago "entitlements" were 22% of the US budget. Now they eat up 60% of the budget. This is a real welfare state supported by those who pay taxes.

Never supported this going-nowhere-fast hellhole of a war.

Its the only time the conservative loonies would support a tax raise out loud.

I'd prefer cutting social programs, like medicaid, social security, corporate welfare, and medicare. These programs shouldn't exist to begin with and all told make up 60% of the Federal budget.

no I would not, we shouldn't be in Iraq period, this war is not benefiting the USA in any way
