Anybody notice how we are getting the worst storms in history?

2 years ago it seemed just the worst earthquakes, tsunamais, hurricanes and it seemed maybe moving north would be safer. Well now we are getting a break, and all the "safe" states are getting hammered with the worst winter storms, tornados, flooding, etc. Combined with everything else these events are definitely in line with biblical prophecies. People will say, o its just global warming, the bible didn't say why or what would cause these things, but that when they all come, better get ready for the grand finale.

Another point is that the bible doesn't say God will make these things happen, just that they would. God can see the future and knew man would do this, one scripture says he will ruin those ruining the earth (how could man "ruin" the earth 2,000 years ago? no pollution/nuclear/etc

So he knew this was coming and is a sign for when hes going to kick butt

It might seem that we're living through the worst storms in history but on a worldwide scale these happened a long time ago. The worst ever storms occurred in 1228 and 1881. In more modern times the worst storms have occured in 1928, 1931, 1938, 1953, 1958, 1971, 1974, 1977, 1998 and 1999.

The ten worst storms in the US in the last century have been (in date order)...

The recent storms are mild in comparison to what's happened in the years gone by.

The Bible talks of earthquakes and seismos (Greek for earthquakes) which for some reason has been translated into hurricanes, tornados, floods and storms.

Whilst it's true to say that there has been an increase in the number of weather anomolies it's not true to say we're getting the worst weather in history.

Worst in history? The Labor Day storm of 1935 was worse than any hurricane Florida got in the last few decades, being an F5. Guess Global warming canceled for 60 years. Do you really think exciting overhead views of a destroyed cityscape's illustrate a "trend of worsening weather", or that the news agency's trump up every little thing to scare us half to death?

I've said this myself. Every summer the humidity gets worse than the summer before. I remember when humid weather was known as a heat wave, at least here in Connecticut where I live. Now, its almost always hot and humid. I believe and agree with you that we should get ready for the end of time,and anyone who doesn't think so should open the bible and they'll see what you mean by the biblical prophecies and then see what they think.

I don't think it has to do with the Bible, I think it's most likely because of the pollution that is caused by humans, not God. Why do people blame God when bad things happen? The pollution thing is mostly our fault and scientists have recently made studies that have shown pollution is the most likely cause for the bad weather we've been getting. I believe in God, but I don't think we should blame Him for our mistakes.

Weather records come and go; and we've been recording weather phenomena for less than 150 years. Only with the recent advent of 24/7 news coverage, and the hysteria that is called global warming, do we now have our attention drawn to naturally occuring, cyclic weather patterns.
