Good for you for having a resume so young! Most of us waited till our 20's.

I am in a class that is teaching us how to get a job (in college). I have been told that you do not need to have an objective statement included. If you are writing a cover letter, you will have a statement in there, but I doubt you will be for that sort of job!
I would have a resume that had education, past work experience (or clubs or afterschool or volunteer stuff), skills, and possibly interests. Make sure it is well formatted and there is white space, so it is not just huge chunks of words. Use bullets.
I am not sure why a dishawasher would need to have a resume though....usually for that sort of job, it is just some application! But yeah, don't worry about an objective if you can't think of one.
Maybe "To gain employment in the restaurant industry"
Good luck!

The KEY is this, an objective's purpose is to tell an employer what kind of work and/or environment you want. But if you put something that's very broad like "A position that uses my skills," then to me it's wasted space. After all, who doesn't want a job that uses their skills? Nobody!
But if you want to work in a specific job, say customer service, then you could put that in an objective. This way, if I have a sales job available, I won't consider you because you're saying you don't want that type of work.
But since you're applying for a dishwasher position, I would suggest leaving the objective out and using that space for highlighting your skills, desire, experience, and background.

I usually say something along the lines of:
Objective: To secure employment with a forward thinking company with room for advancement.
You might want to take that down a few notches, since you are just applying for a dishwashing job.
Try something like:
'Objective: To obtain a decent paying position that works around my school schedule.'
Good luck!

If your writing a resume like this one (chronological):

Then just write - dishwasher - under the objective subtitle.
