A coworker has a 3 year old that has an imaginary friend he calls Jasper. He says Jasper doesn't have a father and is not allowed to come to his house to play. I'm wondering if he got this from the book, but I can't find any details about the book other than Jasper is an imaginary friend. Is there anything about school or playing basketball in the book or 4 teachers?

Jasper was a trouble maker in the book, I haven't read it for more than a decade but I still remember he did something with bringing leaves inside and writing on the bathroom mirror with toothpaste.
Nothing that I can remember about basketball, Jasper was more a scapegoat. It may have spilled over into schoolwork though.
