I am 28 years old no children, and i only have a high school education. I would like to go back to school, or sing professionally, but i have no money and i don't know where to get started. Don't you kindof have to have money to make money in those kinds of things?

Find a job on whatever first(to pay school and also try getting a student loan) with a schedule that will allow u going to school, or you can also find a job as a singer for a bar or restaurant (if u have a good voice) then after you finish school and have the experience you can get a better job!

If your a good singer you can teach yourself or read books and online articles to perfect your skills. Why not learn to become a good singer yourself, who said you need someone to teach you? It helps if people help you out, but in the end you are the one who teaches yourself. Maybe start in small clubs, parties, or contests, whatever helps you move up. Don't expect to be paid the big bucks in the beginning, these things take time and patient. If you think college is a better choice, then yes you do need money to go to college, in order to get a job to pay for the money you spent on college (ironic isn't?). I really think if people try hard enough in life they can accomplish anything they want without a college degree; it all depends how much you want to pursue something and if you are willing enough to strive for it. Remember you can become whatever you want, do whatever you want, and learn whatever you want, everybody else can offer choices to you, but in the end it all comes down to how much you want to succeed. Either way, money is earned not given.
Good luck to you, in whatever you decide! 8)

First of all you need to believe that the only thing standing in your way is you. You need to go to school and yes it will take guts and hard work and will only happen if you want it bad enough.
You are going to regret this more and more if you do not pursue your dreams and ambitions.
The next week of your life of making phone calls ,going to web sites and asking questions could change your life forever. No one can instill the drive you need to do this so I suggest you go for the brass ring, you will never regret it .

If you have no money you will qualify for grants & loans,
Sing in a band for money & take classes at your local community college.
You can explore many career options for 2 years of study or less.
