If people you conside friends call you ugy then they're not really your friends. Also you dont need skimpy skirts or tube tops or halter tops to make yourself look pretty. You can try skinny black jeans, a nice white collared shirt, and a big white belt, but all you have to do is put it around your hips in a slanted way, it'lllook cute and stay in the dress code. Also if you want just a casual outfit for an everday thing you can try a white peasant skirt, a sandy brown shirt, and a pearl necklace.
All of that stuff is cheap and easy to find. Just remember, dont dress to impress anyone. You're only thirteen you have plenty of timeto grow up and once you do you'll realize you're a beautiful person inside and out and as for your "friends" tell them to hit the road and get some new ones. They arent worth your time!

Oh my goodness. You need to have some self esteem. Do not let people's comments hurt you like that. I am sure you are beautiful. You need to be confident in your own skin. Being confident about yourself is the best way to feel better. Try going to a salon to get a good haircut, not one that is too hard to maintain though. I think by the sounds of it, you do not need any help in the fashion department. And don't let that old boyfriend of yours have the time of day. There is someone out there for you. Just be patient, you will find him and everything will be perfect. Also, you don't have to wear one of those trashy little skirts to be pretty. Try wearing nice pants and shirts that flatter your figure. When you go shopping, take friends with you so they can help. Just make sure they are the type of friends who would give you an honest opinion. Good luck.

Being 13 is never a fun time - anyone who is telling you that you are ugly or is making fun of your appearance (even if they are your friends) is probably just insecure about their own looks! Remember, it's what's inside that counts!

That said, it's completely possible to look cute even while following a dress code for a private school. Be sure to wear pieces that fit you properly and flatter you. Something that is too tight or short will not look as cute as something that fits you well, even if it might be the popular brand. It's not about how much something COSTS or who designed it, it's about how it looks on YOU. For example, a lot of my friends wear expensive designer jeans, and I cannot afford them, nor do they look very good on me. I found a brand that is not as expensive, and works better for my body, and I get compliments on them all the time.

Good grooming can make a very big difference if you don't have the money for very fancy clothes. Perhaps take a look at how you're styling your hair - is it an appropriate cut for you, or are you always fighting your natural hair texture? Sometimes taking an extra 5 minutes in the morning to curl it or put a cute barette can make a big difference without sucking up a lot of time. Same with skin care - hopefully that's not a problem for you, but I know I had trouble with my skin at 13 years old. There are a lot of inexpensive products that can help if you have breakouts, or help to cover them if necessary. I'm not advocating wearing a lot of makeup at 13, but I think a little bit of lip gloss, and maybe some concealer to cover the occasional blemish can go a long way. If it is something that would give you confidence (and if it is allowed at your school), ask your parents to take you to a salon for a mini-makeover. Many cosmetic counters are able to give small lessons on how to apply makeup in colors and techniques that are APPROPRIATE for someone your age. There is nothing worse than someone who is 13 who looks like she is trying to be 21!

The best thing to do is to talk to a trusted friend/parent/older sister and they can give you advice that's practical for your life. Magazines might look good, but they're not realistic. Being YOURSELF is the most stylish way to be!!!

Ignore what anyone says. I have the same problem here. Although people say Im pretty I have bad acne, and stupid people always point that out to me. They have no idea how much this hurts anyone. In my opinion your brave to even post this question; thats a plus; and also Who are they to tell you who you are or how you should look and be? Dont turn annorexic okay? I've been there and done that and not eating is a bad thing. Today I was really depressed so I came onto here to answer questions and help people. But, it dosen't matter how skany your skirt is; thats just an invitation for guys to get into your pants; and you dont want that, Believe me. Your also taller than me! (meanie) JK. lol. but I've been through the whole "Im ugly" thing and every single girl goes through it. If you need to talk and if you have a yahoo or msn address or anything just im me; I love to help ok? Hyperblondetheif224@hotmail.com ^_~

Don't listen to these people that say bad things about you! There's someone out there for you. Just be patient. I know it's hard and everything seems overwhelming at your age but chill out. You probably haven't even stopped growing. Just stay physically active and healthy and you'll have no problem getting guys' attention. Trust me, there are plenty of guys out there who like women that aren't the super-skinny norm.

Enjoy who you are and if any guy tries to tell you you're ugly kick them in the nuts. If a girl tells you you're ugly there's only one reason she's saying this-jealousy. She's threatened by some other outstanding qualities you have and she's using a cheap way to cut you down.

If people are tellings you that you are ugly...just dont listen to them. Now, i know how it feels to be called ugly because i have acne and my nose is ugly. But by the way you explined yourself you seem extremely pretty. If you really want to change something about you, you should try going to Khol's. They have all the cutest things for cheap prices all year round. Also, there is charelette rousse but they are starting to get out of their really cute stuff so you will have to hurry. You probably arent going to believe me, but i'm 13 too. I go to a public middle school though. My b-day is on may 16, and i finally get to buy the stuff i want to make me look a bit prettier. Try some mascara {like the kind your mom has} also a bit of pinkish or red blush on your cheeks. Just the other girl said...if your friends give you put downs they really arent your friends. As for a boyfriend, he probably still likes you, but wants to show off to his friends that he has an extremely rich girlfriend and she's unbelievably gorgeous. {jusy like one of those brats} But he'll probably never get that girl. You boyfriend will still love you, it's most likely his friends that stop him from loving you. Just belive in youself and love you for who you are.

{you might want to try JCPenney's}

*Styles you want to go for are dark flared jeans with a shirt that you can layer* If you want the expensive look, go to hollister and check their sales and clearence. Their shirts are 10 dollars but only in the back of the stores.

Hope this helps Kali!

I don't know you but you are a very pretty person dont worry about what other people think of you just be you. If you don't think you are pretty then no one else will. If you worry about what other people think it is a lost cause, and you are only 13 so i know you are a pretty person. The clothes that you wear don't make you, you make you so don't listen to what other people say just go with the flow you have to make yourself happy and not worry about everyone else.

I was once told that you cant make anyone else happy until you are happy.

You'll never be Beyonce but your heart is what really makes you pretty,don't listen to them. and if you have dress code at school maybe you could spiff up your uniform, start your own trend and make a fashion statement with even the most blah-est(for lack of a better word) clothes.If you want to find a store that is stylish yet cheap maybe WalMart but if you want to go the extra mile Macy's,Bealls,or JC Penny's.Hope I helped ya!-Krissy
