If kids are not safe in school anymore, then is it better to home school them?

I wasn't implying that kids ONLY get abused at school. I know it can happen anywhere. But I was saying, aren't you trying of seeing news report after news report of some teacher abusing their students.

I'm tired of seeing kids abused anytime I read it. I know that wasn't your point, but if they're not being abused by someone they know and trust, it's by some skeevy guy abducting them from the bus stop. It's important to remember that we read about these reports because they're being sensationalized by the media because they're rare. They're not rare enough though, and that problem comes with the caliber of teachers in our education system. It's too easy to become and STAY a teacher when you're not even good at your job (or just plain crazy like the women who abuse the boys). The system needs to change. Everything needs to change. Maybe homeschooling middle school boys is the answer. They're somehow the ones the teachers are attracted to (which I don't get- but I'd be concerned with anyone who "got" pedophilia). Alright, I think I'm done with my rant.

In fact, I hear very little of that.

If anything, we get more of the other way around. Young teens kicking and punching teachers because they know that, as long as they are juveniles, they are treated as if they are above the law. And it has even reached the primary grades where kids threaten to sue teachers if they don't let them have their ways.

Not that some kids are any safer at home...

I'm getting pretty tired of hearing about students abusing their teachers too

Maybe parents should home school, get a taste of what their darling little monsters are really like in a school setting.

i am just tired of negativity and being stuck in the past. we all must face our past correctly to move forward but the blame game got tired a long time ago. i just want to work with everyone that can make my life and my wife [and our 15 kids] life better - i'm weird.

Kids are as safe in school as they can be anywhere.
If that is an example of your reasoning capability - nobody should depend on you for an education.
As if no child was ever abused in their own home!

It doesn't irritate me as much as the celebrity news that they always have such as Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears. I get really tired of hearing about them.
