History would be radically different if Hitler had won WWII. All the history books would by now have been re-written by the Nazis. They would of course praise the current Nazi regime. Outside the Orient, everyone not "Nordic" in appearance and background would be dead or enslaved & neutered. Within two more generations, only "Nordics" and "Orientals" would be left in the world.

The Internet and the sort of freedom it entails would not exist. Those of us reading this question and "lucky" enough to still be here would be living in an impressive-looking but brutally inflexible world. You'd belong to the prescribed organizations, attend their meetings and accept what they taught you - or you'd be dead. You'd be spying on your neighbors to make sure they weren't drifting away from Nazi orthodoxy, and they would be spying on you.

Without the strengths of genetic and cultural diversity, without the freedom to innovate, western civilization would stagnate and decline.

In the Orient, probably the Japanese would have become the ruling power and would have subjugated the eastern world. At some date in the future, armed conflict between the Orient and the Western World would be sure to develop into a no-holds-barred war. The savagery of this war would exceed that of Rome, the empire which totally destroyed Carthage, razed all their buildings, killed most of the citizens and sowed their fields with salt. This time, though, the warring parties would have weapons based upon nuclear fusion. It might well be the end of the world as we know it.

If Hitler would have beaten Russia and subdued England he would continued the fight with U.S. but the Atlantic would have been an obstacle for Hitler and he would have signed a ceasefire with the USA until he regrouped and built his resources again(Hitler was known to break hit word any time it benefited him)There would still have been a cold war I think only it would have been the Nazi's againts the USA. No NATO, no Israel in the present. Instead you would have had a Jewish slave colony either in Siberia or Madagascar or both until the entire Jewish race would have been exploited for the labor until they were unable to do so and then killed and eventually in a period of time the entire Jewish people would have perished in Europe, middle east and Africa. next on his list would have been the Black race and eventually the Muslims. Refugees en mass would be crossing the Atlantic among them Jews, blacks and Muslims. As both sides prepared for a showdown. America would develop the A bomb but so would Germany because instead of the Rosenberg someone sympathetic to the nazi would have betrayed our secrets and given them the recipe for the Abomb. Hitler would have probably died(seeing that he was suffering from many health ailments) and some moderate would be put in charge and the entire Eastern Hemisphere would be run as Aparthied in South Africa. we would not have the Cuban Missle crisis because Che would be fighting the nazi's all over Europe.
Man this is a good question all kinds of stuff, Israel would probably be sandwiched between Argentina and Paraguay.

Definitely. Look at Germany's architecture around the time of Hitler's rise. The whole world would have looked like that. Funny how Hitler's favorite bird is our national symbol(eagle). The Jews would have been wiped out for good.

The funny thing is, I don't think life would have been THAT BAD, if you were white and had the capacity to learn German. I don't know how well the black people would have made out. Same with the Mexicans. They are probably the most grateful that we destroyed the Nazi's, but then again, maybe they don't appreciate it at all and still want a free way of life.

Japan and Germany take over most of the eastern hemisphere and eventually come to blows in a war so massive that it dwarfs world war two. Eventually Mussilini and Hitler would have come to blows, my guess is Hitler finds an excuse to invade Italy, or kill Mussilini.

Germany actually did come close, if they'd have focused on bombing British air bases instead diverting attention to the blitz, than the RAF would likely have been anihilated paving the way for a take over of England. America would have no entry way into Europe and could throw wermact at an unprepared USSR with almost no resraint. The resistanc emovements relied heavily on foreign aid without which tehy'd have been easier to crush. No suicidal mentality in 1930's and 1940's Europe.

Try to find or see the documentary film "Triumph of the Will" by Leni Riefenstahl. It is chilling. To give you a short answer, Spechen sie Deutsch? The impact of a Nazi triumph in the war could have resulted in the Gotterdamerung of which Hitler spoke. It could have been between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union if/after the capitulation of the other Allies.

The term cultural diversity would not be part of the lexicon. Simply put, you would not recognize much of the civilization we presently have.

the Jews would be gone.

anyone who isn't blond, tall, blue-eyed and rich would be in trouble.

all non-Germans would end up as slaves.

a third world war would occur. history has taught us that anyone treated badly and backed into a corner would eventually realize that they do want to be happy. If they're backed into a corner, they'll realize that the only way out is through. Hitler would of course lose because he will be fighting people who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. No other situation could bring the best and worst in people... specially the best in people, than pure desperation.

greenhouse problems to the extreme... what with all the burning and decomposing of billions of bodies.

you and I wouldn't be having this conversation right now. iether we'll be in different camps or i never would have existed in the first place. so let's thank all those who were sane enough to realize that Hitler was not sane and fought him when it seemed like he was about to win. I think WW2 showed us that no matter how much we hate each other and want each other to disappear, we don't like being alone...so we grudgedly fought for each other.

Didn't you see that episode of Family Guy? He gets a talk show and looks at Christian Slater's butt.

In all honesty, most of Europe would have eventually fallen under the control of the Nazi's. Eventually countries would break free and you would see another series of wars through out Europe they way there was through the middle ages. I don't imagine the Nazi's would have maintained their grip on all of Europe for more than 20 years.

Another major difference would be that if Hitler never lost the war and killed himself America would probably never had dropped the nukes on Japan and therefore Japan would probably have continued on its conquest of the Asian theater and eventually all you would see in the eastern hemisphere is a territory half controlled by Japan and half by Germany. Had this been the case, the sheer size of the combined enemies would be to much for the western hemisphere to resist.

Interesting question.

I believe the world would've been ruled under two dominant forces - Germany in the West and Japan in the East. The Jews would've been exterminated, the political/economic climate would be some form of socialism and totalitarianism. German would be the primary world language and tolerance for other races would be nil.

Our world would be a very, very dark place where freedom to go, say and do what we want wouldn't exist.

From a religious standpoint, Hitler had a very twisted concept of Christianity. The swastika in fact is an ancient form of the Christian cross. A state controlled version of Luthern doctrine would probably prevail.

"history is written by the victors"

In which case, if you were to read a history book about the war written by the Nazi victors, it would tell you the US, UK, and all the allies were evil and needed to be cleansed for the good of 'all'. The book would be some weird historical/religious tome, exhorting you to worship the second Messiah, Hitler, for saving the world from capitalism, communism, and 'unpure' people.

This question,m while fun and entertaining, is quite impossible to answer. When looking at the historical flow of civilization, you must remember that outcomes are based on conditions. It would be relatively easy to surmise what would happen if Tony Blair decided to stop all trade with Azerbaijan, but the magnitude and generalization of your question makes it impossible to answer seriously.
If you get up in the morning and decide not to brush your teeth, then history will be different.
And no, "we" would not be speaking German now.
