When he is no longer taken and the two of you are hanging around just kind of corner him and give him a kiss. You will then know if he is interested. If you wish do not wait. But let him know that if he is interested that she needs to be let go.

Ask another good friend of his or better yet ask him yourself. If he doesn't give you the response you were looking for then make a joke out of it or just say this conversation never happened. Its better to ask him when not many people are around.

But, are you happy with your current relationship? Don't interferer with his relationship either.
