its not the sort of job for an diy type person as the spring has to be compressed quite a bit
I work in an peugeot workshop and I was put in hospital for two weeks with a spring that sprung out of the clamps.
you can take the whole strut off but dont change the spring let someone in an garage do it they will have the tools
