ok i posted a question the other day about getting my car painted...i decided i want to keep the color (white) and just add glitter...i found a couple of places were i live that does paint jobs but before i call i want to know if places do that just add glitter and what is the correct term to use, when i call i want to know what im talking about. thanks

I think the proper terminology to that is that you want to paint your car in Metallic Paint. When you look at it up close, it looks as though it has glitter.

You can't just ADD it though, because it's a special kind of paint and it comes mixed that way. You'll have to repaint the car.

flake, and it'll cost ya... I sprayed a few cars with it before. it requires a few diffrent things than normal paint but it looks awsome when the light hits it. you just have to know how big of flake you want because they have anything from the tip of a pin up to about quarter size. go to your bodyshop they should have books for you to look at. one of my customers wanted hunter green flake on her car over the normal hunter green. the normal color was $200 for the gallon and the flake was $400 for the quart.

It's called metallic, metal flake, or pearls. The best thing to do would be to go in and choose a color with the sparkle already in it.
