i ordered lights for my golf mower and the lights have just a single wire. installation help please?

the wire is the power supply,,the base of the light when attached to the mower is the connection to the negative terminal of the battery via grounding

The wire goes to the positive battery terminal or switch you install to work them. The negative runs through the body (ground).
