1000s of mp3s can be downloaded from this site. Most of the acts are independent unsigned acts that want to give away their music for the exposure, but there are several big-name bands (Blues Traveler, Little Feat, Spearhead, et al.) that are charitably donating music they could get rich selling.

no...you rip music from cd's to your computer using itunes, windows media player, sonic, etc....if you do not want to pay for your music and you do not have the cd try band sponsored downloads from either Myspace or sites such as www.purevolume.com
