DeVry is fantastic, and Phoenix is fairly well regarded as well. People laugh at things they aren't comfortable with. Any employer will be duly impressed that you completed your degree, worked, and have a family. Maybe just take a fw classes until your community college lets you enroll in the fall. That way you have a head start. Good luck! (Coffee and Red Bull are soon to be a large part of your diet.)

Search for a reputable online program that is regionally and possibly nationally accreditted. Try to get a program that has an actual real non-online university that offers an online program. For instance, Lakeland College as one example:

What's your goal - in other words, why do you want the degree? That will determine where you end up.

Many real universitys also have online programs. Heres an example

However if you wait for fall 2006, you'll be too late.

No one laughs at online schools. As long as it is an accredited university anyway.
