a typing test i took said my accuracy is 95; and i only had 3 errors. but isn't 65 kind of low?

No 65 for many is quite fast. I touch type and work for moderation on Habbo Hotel where the expected is around 75 - 100 WPM and that is quick.
Sadly it simply is practice, practice and practice. Don't feel pressured to type quickly. As you hinted, it is much better to not make mistakes as when you do learn to type fast you will take those mistakes with you.

As per industry standards, 65 WPM is considered a very good speed. What is more important is accuracy. Most of the MNCs look for a minimum of 98% accuracy.

Yes, thats pretty good but I have 95.
