Many burning programs come with a device to erase a disc. There is one by Roxio, that is free, that is called Drag To Disc. It lets you go thru and delete your cd and then re-burn them on a cd-rw

I run XP.
Insert CD and allow to load.
click on start...click on my computer...
Double click cd-rw..
Top left corner under 'cd writing task' should read 'erase this cd-rw'...click on this and job done in no time.
Good luck.
