I've noticed on here that a lot of women have said that they tested many times and repeatedly got negatives when in fact they were pregnant. How long was it until your hpt showed a positive?

my first preg, i took a test at 8 weeks. This one, I took the test 2 days before my period. I just didnt have any PMS symptoms this time around. So i thought something was up. A lot of women dont show hormones until 6-8 weeks, but usually if your pregnant right after a period, it can detect. Plus it also depends on the test you take, some have higher levels of sensitivity to detect the hormone.

I took the test 1 week after I missed my period and it came out with 2 very clear, blue vertical straight lines which mean pregnant. It took only less than 1 minute for the test to show positive even though the instructions said to wait 3-7 minutes. I read again after 3 minutes and the result remians as positive.

When I tested at about 4 weeks pregnant, the results were instant. I used my first morning's urine and the second line was faint at first, but quickly darkened. All this was under a minute. So there was no confusion for me!

Negative HPT can be due to an imbalance in a woman's urine, and a blood test must be done in order to confirm her suspected pregnancy. This happened to my friend, and while the doctor kept assuring her she wasn't pregnant, the blood test she demanded sure didn't lie!

I had one negative test which they did at the hospital, my period was 2 days late at the time, but I have always been irregular.!!! I needed to have an x-ray, the test came back negative and they went ahead and x-rayed me, however, I know by my period dates and due date (April) that I was already pregnant by then. (I was lucky not to lose my baby through the hospital's shoddy work!)

2 weeks later I took another test and it came back with a strong blue line, very deff positive!

Hope I helped, god luck!

I took a test that showed up as "inconclusive" and it turns out I was pregnant. I was supposed to have a + for yes and a - for no, and I had a " | " (a vertical line) on the first test.

The second test I had a blank. Needless to say, I am not using that brand of test kit anymore.

I've always taken them before my missed period, maybe about a week after I concieve and I get a positive result straight away. The line always shows up really strong even before the waiting time is up.

I took a test 4days before my period was to start and used both first morning urine and mid day urine and both tests came back positive. I used clear-blue easy digital and first response. I only had negatives when I wasn't pregnant. Hope this helps.

I took my pregnancy test on the fifth day after my period should have showed up, and it came out positive.

Mine was positive on the first day of my missed period. It was very faint, so I doubt it would have showed up the day before.
