Well, officer, I think I may be able to shed some light on this subject. As a teenager, I never flashed but I actually did worse things, and I can tell you why I did them. It is an immature way of expressing their womanhood. When a woman is young, especially at this day and age, they are being conditioned to be a certain way. Everyday, women are objectified in TV, magazines, newspapers, radio and virtually any other form of mass communication. Girls grow up thinking of women in the only form they have seen them for the entirety of their lives. Models, superstars, and especially peers all influence what they percieve to be the ideal woman. Men oftentimes do not see how deeply this is rooted in daily life. Look at magazines such as Teen or Seventeen. Seriously, take a look. This is what these girls are looking at and reading! The models are super skinny, there are countless articles about how to make yourself prettier or thinner and it is a continous cycle. Add into all of this to the peer pressure and the sheer meanness of adolecent girls, and it is not hard to see why girls have ideas about sexuality that are totally off-skew. They are simply trying to (in the adolecent way) be a woman! As for the parents, yes and no about their fault. They can't filter everything a child sees and does, however, it is important to discuss with your children sexuality and sex, and its place in society. So, don't blame these kids and their parents for their reckless behavior, but understand that media and society play a large role in the develpoment of a teenager.

As a licensed health-care provider, I have a personal and professional opinion; however, I feel comfortable merging the two together to hopefully give some good advise. According to most the literature pubic hair, whether on girls or boys, is there for a specific reason. Scientifically speaking, it is thought to produce pheromones, which can be released to give a subconscious order to attract the opposite sex. With that being said, I once had a female student tell me God would not have put pubic hair to grow if shaving it was suppose to be done and it was wrong. I asked her, "Do you shave your legs or under your arms?" She smiled and walked away. I think it has become obvious, in western culture, that most females in child-bearing years keep their pubic hair neatly trimmed or completely shaven. I do agree with the view that it is a choice for each person to make, and there is no right answer. Personally, I don't see the need for any pre-teen to be shaving or waxing unless it becomes problematic for them in a bikini, for example. Yes, I'm aware there are plenty of very young girls engaging in full sexual activity, although it's only my opinion that this is not going to be productive for them, especially in the long-run. Outside of that, in practice I see that clearly most girls shave everything. From what I hear, most guys enjoy a girl with smooth legs, clean shaven underarms and, generally speaking, a smooth body all over. Be good to yourself! There is only one of you and your priceless.

Um, think again sir. Not ALL girls are like that. The girls at my high school wear their kilts way too short! I think that something needs to be done about that. Anyways, SOME girls do that because they are either dared to or they feel that they need some attention from other men. Most teen girls enter a rebellious stage in their lives just to see what it's like. Puberty is all about finding yourself.

Because many parents want to be their kids' friends instead of the parent. They're afraid that the kid will rebel more if they act like the parent I guess. Also it has to do with all the naked chicks on music videos and the naked celebrities and all the sex on TV.

I think it's the way parents now adays are letting their children go off and do whatever they want by themselves. They don't spend enough time together. It's ridiculous, and I'm 14, and i know i would never do that, geesh, people are so stupid. i meen seriously, i wouldn't even do it in front of my cat! (LOL) but that's just the way i was brought up, it's sad what our world has come to.

Umm you must be in one sick town. If any of my friends or peers did that in public our parents would kill us because they know everyone in this small town. I wouldn't dare do that and not just because of my parents but also because of the names I'd get called. Anyway I think it's wrong and it's good that they are being punished for commiting such a wrongful deed.
