In a few weeks when I turn 18 I plan on going to a local piercing studio to get my nose pierced. What should I expect? How much does it usually cost, is there anything I should worry about?

I've had mine pierced twice since I had to take it out once for a job... Honestly, expect a little quick pain initially. My eye (on the side of the nostril that was pierced) watered.

Its a very simple procedure, they put the needle through the nostril, it'll stay there while they grab the ring, then they'll switch it out for the ring.

Make sure you go to a place you know is legit. Make sure you use a soap on it without fragrance to keep it clean. Clean it also with a saline solution. Make sure and turn it often as it will want to scab up, it'll be more painful if you let it dry up. They'll tell you how to take care of it, I'm sure.

I miss mine a lot, but I just wish I could have it somedays and others not! Make sure it is what you want and you take care of it because I know it will cost you around $40-$60 depending on where you go/where you live. Mine cost more ($55) because I bought a screw instead of using the "ring" itself.

I really liked the screws, just make sure you don't take it out too early or change it early because they can be a little tricky to get in and out.

Well when I got my nose pierced back in the 7th grade all I had to pay was ten dollars, so it'll be around that amount. But it doesnt hurt at all, Once your nose is getting pierced and the stud is getting pushed through the skin you'll hear a popping sound, but that's it. It'll probably feel a little numb but thats it. Nothing else, it's not painful but make sure you get a small stud, the big ones are ugly.

It would not harm if you're there. They take a needle and pierce it, that sounds like in simple terms pinch. Then after a jiffy it starts to sense weird and wonderful yet it really is not any longer too a lot soreness because it really is soreness. you could placed an ice dice on your nostril earlier to numb it. it is going to also harm in case you yawn or scrunch up your nostril in any respect, that is going away after an afternoon or 2 see you later because it heals wisely. reliable success :)
