Brazilians travelling to New Zealand under the visa waiver are not permitted to work.
The New Zealand Embassy is aware that a number of travel agents, chat rooms and individuals in Brazil are passing out incorrect information about the ability of Brazilians to work in New Zealand.

Brazilians travelling to New Zealand under the visa waiver are not permitted to work. Any information to the contrary is incorrect.

The New Zealand immigration authorities have very rigorous procedures in place for ensuring that the conditions for entry into New Zealand are respected and not used as a pretext for entering to work illegally. These procedures, which are strictly enforced, apply to all foreign visitors and not just Brazilians.

If the New Zealand immigration authorities determine that you are trying to enter the country in order to work (without the appropriate visa or permit) you will be refused entry into New Zealand and returned to Brazil on the first available flight.

For more information on the visa waiver scheme (which permits Brazilians to visit New Zealand for tourism purposes without a visa for less than 90 days) or on visas for work or study in New Zealand
