I recently found out that a friend of mine is beginning to make herself throw up after meals (started a few weeks ago). Her parents know, and she knows that her friends are concerned, but rather than hinder her continuing this habit, it's only made her hostile toward her friends and those who care about her. She knows it's unhealthy, but it seems that she's just getting more depressed and its getting worse.

Any advice for caring friends who want to help, aside from recommending professional help?

Are there any online resources for her or for us to use in helping her?

First off, you should try talking to her and i know this doesn't always work because people want to make their own decisions. SO what i suggest is going on google and finding pictures off annorexic women and show her them and explain how dangorous it really is and maybe then she will realize that it is a bad choice.

and it doesn't look good to be annorexic, it looks totally unhealthy. So try talking to her about other options on how to lose weight . Good luck and I really hope it works!
