what does this mean in baseball?
who's been "tossed" recently?
and is it a good or bad thing?

It means getting thrown out of the game for arguing calls or getting in a fight or any number of reasons. Nobody yet it's just the second day of the preseason.

Usually getting 'tossed' is a bad thing since a player or manager is being ejected from the game. But sometimes managers will argue stupid calls and force an ejection to rally his players.
