The recommendation difference in diameters of tyres is a maximum of ±2.5%.

So you could go for...
185/45x/16, which is -0.87% or -5mm,
or 175/50x16, +0.52 or +3mm
or 185/50x16, +2.25 or +13mm
or 195/45x16, +0.69 or +4mm
or 205/45x16, +2.25 or +13mm
or 215/40x16, +0

215/40x16 looks favourite.

The new wheels may be 16's but what width are they?
That'll tell you the first number, which will also lead to the second number (profile) as that number is a percentage of the first.
The only number you know for sure is the 3rd 16.
Go to tirerack.com and select your wheel, they can give you the size.

Oh and for Mr Mark A (above) Tires ARE spelt Tyres in the UK
