I am looking for Arabic or African names for a little baby girl. I am having a hard time picking and choosing. Please give meanings. Thanks :)

anam- a wind in heaven

nafisa - a jewl

masira- a cool breez

Zuri - Beautiful
Jahia – Prominent
Sari – Essence
Zaria - Rose

The first 3 are of African origin and the 4th is Arabic.

My fiance's sister named her daughter Nzingha (pronounced: N zing a) 18 yeays ago. It is an African name and I believe it means princess or queen. I have only heard the name one other time and it belonged to a young African-American woman who once hosted Cartoon Network Fridays.

I have an arabic friend who is muslim I think her names pretty its Thuraya means "servant of the merciful" and "faithfullness"hope you like:) said Thur-a-ya when spoken
