Can anyone help me get it back on track, Have tried the front manuel buttons, no help! is there a keyboard combination, Thanks in anticipation!

what a great bunch of people you all are, Thank you one and all, last one got it!! nothing more than a loose cable at the back of the monitor.

This is usually the cable in the back of your PC, assuming that this is a desktop and not a laptop. Try wiggling the cable on the monitor and the back of the PC, if this helps then your cable is going bad. As stated above another test is to try a different monitor. If your system is in warranty then call dell if not call a local computer repair shop and ask about cheap or used monitors and a warranty.

Looks like your monitor is going out. Do you have another monitor? If you do, or if you know someone that you could borrow one and hook up to your pc, then you would be able to tell if it is in fact the monitor. Pretty sure that is what is wrong with your machine.

I feel you man. I have no idea about this stuff. Iv just posted few Que. my self. Just saw your Que. and felt like giving you my sympathy, since Ive been suffering from other PC issues. It's sickening man, you really don't know to love or hate technology. It's a constant pain, specially for beginners like me. One day is Virus, other day colours, today soft ware &.......... Try reinstalling the driver of your video adapter. then check the display properties settings. Might as well if you're using a CRT monitor, try to adjust the settings of it.

have you got any speakers next to or near it, have you moved anything nearer to it.. it could be the magnetic fields it happened to me beofre if you have then move them away and you'll see by the screen wether it is that if not then it sounds like it maybe off to pc heaven!
