i went into a website and took an IQ and i have an IQ of 126.
is that high for a 14 year old?

yes. the average acceptable IQ is about 110
IQ is not supposed to be dependent on how old you are, however, the tests themselves are designed for adults, and when they are made with adults in mind persons your age will score lower because they understand fewer amounts of the content.
that said, i would suggest that your real IQ is around 135 considering that you were actually able to understand adult-level concepts. this is almost genius (around 150).

That is above average. IQ tests plotted on a bell curve show that average is 100. Anywhere from 85-115 is considered average. You can actually perform higher or lower on tests that measure academic achievement than you do on an IQ test.
If you attend a public school chances are good that you have taken an IQ test before and your parents could find out your IQ for you. (Or you can find out for yourself when you turn 18) I have read that internet IQ tests are not always the most accurate. So who knows your IQ could be even higher. You are bright, don't waste the gift you have been given!

Yes, the natioanl average (UK but i presume it's the same for USA if that's where you are from) is 100 anything over that is high. I'm 13 and I did a IQ test last year and I got a 120 I think.

IQ is measured irrespective of age, so you are asking the wrong question. Also, since "high" is really subjective, I'd have to ask you first, "In comparison to what?" If you compare yourself to the national average, which at last test was around 108, then you are doing pretty good.

With IQ tests a 100 is average. 140+ is genius. You did very well!

I believe that the average is 100-120; so, yes you are a bit above average. It is the 140-150 level that fits into the category of mensa. I hope you decide to put all that intelligence to good use!
