I dream about what I'm worried about usually, so that makes things very intersting when I dream, and I have a mix of both nightmares and dreams, sometimes I wake up sweating and scared and I'm not sure why, but I've had two recurring nightmares since childhood.

One is where I'm being chased around the first house I ever lived in by a wolf, and my father is behind the wolf with a rolled up newspaper trying to swat it away.

The second is at my grandparents' old house, but there is no furniture in the house. A UFO lands in the backyard, and I go out the sliding glass doors, and the aliens take me with them.

I don't think this last one is a repressed memory or anything, I just find it fascinating that I've dreamt these two things at least once a month ever since I can remember

I have heard that dreams about dark entities are symbolic for guilt,temptation, past etc... but believe me when I say that those who have said this are wrong and maybe there is a real entity...
In my dream, my family and I,we are visitng at someone's house. I don't know exactly where. My brother and dad are in one room, my mom is in another and I am in a sort of living room which seems to be in the basement but not on the main floor. I know that the main activity of the entity is occurring in the room where my dad and bro are...but since in reality they are not scared of these things, they say nothing. But I notice it, I also notice it does not like me or my family. Since I am in room which is a common place, I do not feel safe. I believe I might also have some kind of power that mediums have....The entity enters my sleeping area and says something i dunno its either forme to get lost or something like that...the entity is very angry.....From where I am sleeping (a couch) i can somehow see into the room where bro and dad is sleeping and i see a lotof activity there....the tv in there turns on and the entity speaks through there I didnt listen or hear it speak but I know it is saying something....at this point I am freaked out....to the point that if my heart was weak I would have a heart attack....I could feel that this is not a good presence.....it feels evil and so very cold.......I can't get warm where I am......it's as if the room where my bro and dad are supposedly sleeping there is some kind of portal....for the spirits that don't choose the light the ones that reject God ( i don't know how i knowthis)....but I know that if we don't leave this place.....I don't know what will happen.....During thisnightmare i wakeup 2-3 times only to fall back into this never ending nightmare...it's seems short but actually last from 2:30/3:00am-8:00/9:00am........anyway it turns out mybroissleeping in another room, and so is my dad I dunno why at this point.....but that room where the the activity is....is so cold.....so evil.....so still when there is no activity i meanso frightening that I guess even a sociopath would freak out.......wherever I go in that level of the house or where I am it follows me.....it tauntsme......b/c it wants me.......that is when finally i go and wake up mybro and dad and ask them if they heard anything....in reality they would laught at me but in this nightmare they are just a lil bit freaked.........I go to my mom'sroom and i ask if i could sleep there away from thedoor...but I won't be safe.....The scene changes and allof a sudden we are right outside the room....we are burning things that are cold be related to the entity in hopes itwill stop the entity .....i have also a bunch of notes on entities...cuz in reality i have not been able tosee an activity i have done researchlong ago......n e way i am sad to part with it but i have to to get rid of the entity and I am going around (alone) in that room saying repeatedly the "Our Father" prayer no I am not catholic but i know that prayer.....i am doing itb/c i have heard of people doing this to rid themelves of entities.....but then 75% of the way I realize if i keep doing this and angering the entity what if it possesses me so then I stop.....and then I get out of the room, and I plead with my familly to leave and allofa sudden they act as if they haven't heard or seen the ghost.......I am scared so bad......when i wake up i feel the fear....my room is cold, and i feel the fear chill mybones........

I am a really light sleeper so I tend to get dreams affected by outside influences. I woke in a sweat the other night thinking my clock radio was talking in tongues , turned out to be my husband snorting and snoring ...again!
I do get recurring dreams about being shot but i wouldn't really call them nightmares more bizarre experiences...too much CSI before bed.

I have nightmares about evil /ghost / or spirtis trying to chase me and then i have to hid. hasnt happen in a while but that's the only nightmares i get. Usually happens in the old neighborhood i grew up in, and i can never get out, kinna like the slow mo run

I have had extremely vivid nightmares for decades. I have been stabbed, shot, fallen off a cliff, drowned, etc.

My most recent one involved being forced to enter a dark, damp tunnel where I was ushered into a car ala Disneyland ride and given an agenda that showed me I would be stripped naked and mutilated and left bleeding on a snowy plateau. It was graphic, let me tell you...

All the time baby and that's normally after seeing myself in the mirror 1st thing in the morning!
I had very bad nightmares after a close friend was killed in a horrific accident over 10 years ago, i could see what was happening to him, but couldn't get to him as my leg's were rooted to the spot and he couldn't hear me screaming to him but i could hear me screaming in my head, i wont say what happens next as it still freaks me out and sends shivers down my spine.
Glad to say the night terrors have since lessened and i can now to go sleep peacefully!

my nightmares usually involve people chasing me in a tall building of some kind, and I keep running down stairs thru hallways etc... i never know who the people are either,but I know they are always close by. other nightmares I have are of things that scare me like tornadoes and spiders.

During periods of illness, I have nightmares commonly about the unnecessary deaths and suffering that other human being inflict on each other, particularly in wars and other conflicts.

Yeah, I have a recurring nightmare, for as long as I can remember. About bats. Its really creepy, thats why i am a huge fan of Batman, I suppose.

negative experiences and unhappiness manifest themselves as nightmares in dreams. it is also linked to maturity i.e. children have lots more than adults

i havent had a nightmare in years although i did have an unpleasant dream about my grandma trying to give me one of those horrible grandma kisses =p
