It depends if you are in an at-will state or an employees rights state. In an at-will state, your employer can terminate you at any time, and you can leave at any time. In some states however, there are rules governing the expectations of employers and employees. However these may not extend to this situation if you were given proper notice when you began work.
Why not just have the amount direct deposited and avoid the whole issue?

Yes. These days most companies require direct deposit. It's actually far more convenient for them, as well as the employees.

As far as i know NO, i have been working at my job for 10 years they have direct deposit i have never used it, i don't want to have it that is ok with them.
