There is this book that my teacher said that a slave and this white slave lady fell in love. But she would not tell me the title of the book because she said it was too mature... Can you help me?

There is a book called "Beauty Beast" by Mackinlay Kantor, who wrote Andersonville. It is about a white slave owner (female) and her black slave lover. I am sure there are other books with that plot, though. Do you have any other details?

like each and every issues, there are various tiers. some white proprietors have been "stunning", and a few the place "evil". some, like Thomas Jefferson, have been in love with their "slave woman", and had many toddlers with them. It wasn't incorrect, if it became consensual. and that i do have faith it could be consensual even in one in all those lopsided relationship (potential-sensible) because of the fact (besides the countless rules preserving the slaves) there became a super social stigma which could effect in disastrous effects for the two. not that slavery became ever good - it on no account became. yet I do have faith there became some love jumbled in there. of direction there became probable far extra raping of slave females going on then loving them.

Unconscionable tell your parents and they will contact the school. obviously if the book is not available in your school's library , as your age is unstated, perhaps it is not appropriate, as yet. However, if your teacher is referencing the book and then determing it's "fitness", either she /he is derelict for for even bringing the book into the fore, as not appropriate for your age, (as it may be) or completely irresponsible and she/he is promoting an agenda. Go to college and then all books/ideas are open to inquiry.(in theory) . I commend you for acknowledgment/awareness of the situation. All the Best. Dawn

Ask the librarian at school. How old are you?
