No, you do not need that much hard drive space. However, if you plan on ripping movies from DVD, then you will need a minimum of 5 gigs. A standard DVD is 4.7 Gigs, and you need room for file structure. Also, the recomended space is to assume that when you buy a DVD player for PC, then you might want to save and create things for DVD, and since they can accomodate files up to the 4.7 Gigs, that would not be very many things, unless you constantly delete and add files.

particular there's a distinction. I very own between the terrific upconverting Blu Ray gamers on the marketplace. My LG great Blu participant does a great activity upconverting many times happening DVD's. I incredibly have incredibly tricked some pals into questioning they have been gazing hi def. Then I put in a Blu Ray or an HD DVD basically whilst they theory the photograph could no longer get from now on acceptable. they're blown away as there's a great distinction. the bigger your video show is the bigger the version would be. A 1080p photograph on a extra physically powerful 1080p video show is the terrific of the terrific and particular you could tell.

Youu can install the drive with a HDD. But that may be the requirement for installing the interface software. That sounds like WAY too much though.

No, you don't. You don't even need a hard disk drive to install a DVD player.

That sounds like an awful lot - are you sure it's not 20 MB instead of GB?
