My girlfriend finished with me on Sunday. On Monday, she said that we needed space apart,& for me not to contact her for 2 weeks (she said 2 give me time 'to get over her', and she said, maybe we can be friends, if 'she' wanted to? The thing is I still like her, and am kind of in a 'either she wants me back' mood, or 'i want nothing from her again'.... Any ideas? Should I leave it after 2 weeks, and see if she contacts me? Or contact her around 3 weeks, asking how she is? I still love her, we went out nearly 18 months!

Oh wow 18 months.
18 months is nothing, obviously this is your longest relationship. Don't sweat it. Feels like it to me that you are young. Go out and have some fun with friends. That will make you forget her. She probably likes another boy or something. Listen, being obsessed with a person is not healthy, I know that it hurts but just because it hurts doesn't mean that you have to beg for them to be with you. Love yourself and know that one day you are going to have a girlfriend that really loves you and that is going to be with you for more than that. Time will heal your pain, but go out and enjoy life. Good Luck !

I'm in the same boat! My bf and I broke up on Saturday. We have not talked, but I see him at work everyday and that makes it harder. I love him so much, but we argued too much. The friend thing never works out, especially if you love her. You will stress yourself out wondering what she is doing. Believe me, I do! The best thing I can suggest is just going out with friends and try not to think too much of her. If it is ment to be, she will be back, begging you to take her back.

let her come to you.. if she doesnt call after a few weeks consider yourself lucky to have only invested 18 months.. she obviously cannot commit at this tme.. so find someone who like what you do and can give you what you want/need/deserve

i'd move on. sometimes you can't be friends after a break up. let her take the lead and take it from there.
