Who do you think is the evil side-Bruce Wayne or Batman? Can you base your answer on the Batman Begins movie and give some examples? You can use the 7 deadly sins to back up your answer. I know a lot of people would say neither are evil, but I have to choose one to be evil for school. Thanks.

Seven deadly sins:

Lust - Batman lusts for justice, Bruce Wayne lusts for nothing
Gluttony - Neither Batman nor Bruce Wayne are gluttons
Greed - Neither Batman nor Bruce Wayne are greedy
Sloth - Batman is no sloth and neither is Bruce Wayne
Wrath - Batman is full of wrath, Bruce Wayne is not
Envy - Batman and Bruce Wayne envy nothing
Pride - Batman and Bruce Wayne have no pride - if anything there is a sense of self loathing.

Certainly, Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person - in fact it seems to me that Batman is the true identity and Bruce Wayne is the alter ego. That said, Batman is keeping up appearances as Bruce Wayne and is the only real character.

That character (Batman) is guilty of lust for justice and of wrath.... or are those just parts of the Batman character necessary for the persona to be effective? Keep in mind that evil is a very subjective concept. Nobody thinks they are themselves evil but that doesn't mean anyone else would agree (criminals that get pinched by the Batman for instance)

Sure, Batman is referred to as the Dark Knight - Dark implies evil, but Knight implies good. To me that means using the appearance of evil for the purpose of good. Straight out of the movie "Its not what's inside, its your actions that define you." Assuming that logic for arguments sake, Batman is not evil - his actions are for the greater good regardless of internal motive or outward appearance.

Either way, he's a vigilante that is just as psychotic as Two-Face - he has the same duel persona but expresses them in different ways.

Well not using the seven deadly sins but maybe a few. Greed - trying to make more money. Lust - Many female conquests. Vanity - Extremely into apperance. Pride - Grew up rich and carries himself that way (scene where he kicks all of the party guests out of his home (even though for their own safety)). Slothfulness - Would rather let the hired execs deal with day to day business matters rather than tend to them himself. As a character Bruce Wayne would probably be the evil one of the two and he has to be. Batman stands for truth and justice, the annilation of any oppressive forces and the embrace of obscurity; Bruce Wayne has to be the exact opposite of Batman as to not attract any attention to his secret identity.

What you have to understand is that Batman and Bruce Wayne are the same person. Batman is a representation of Bruce Wayne's darkest fear (bats) and the evil inside him (instilled from witnessing his parents death) Wayne use's Batman as a persona, he uses the evil inside to fight crime. One of the most interesting things about the Batman character is the dycotomy between good and evil.

Well, when he's 'Bruce Wayne' he's a caring giving billionaire.
When he's 'Batman' they call him THE DARK KNIGHT.
So there you go. That's all you need to know to understand the correct answer :-_)

I think it's Batman. Even though both are good, Batman gets angry when the bad buys are winning, so he is driven by vengence, to put the bad guys away.
