They were offered a billion dollars to reunite in 2000 and turned it down! That doesn't sound like a "15 minutes fame" to me! They were awesome. They were 2 married couples who divorced then broke up the band. They left on top and have stayed there. The women do not get along with one another. And neither woman now gets along with the 2 men. However, the two men continue to work together to this day! They were one of the world's first 'supergroups' as well. When they formed in Sweden, they each came from either successful solo careers or from other hit bands to form 'Abba'... and a supergroup was born ;-) I can't think of 'any' other band they would offer a billion dollars to to reunite.

Actually ABBA was a Swedish? 70's pop supergroup that was around for several years. They had huge success here and in the UK but after the breakup late 70's early 80's they have vowed NOT to get back together, leaving the legacy- as the Beatles did- to the old albums and radio play.

The members are all still around, and now they're getting richer off the hit musical "Mama Mia," which features their music.
