Because a lot of minority groups have been held back from receiving the education and therefore the career opportunities that they're entitled to as human beings, and so are forced to leave in areas that they wouldn't choose to live in if they had the means to live elsewhere. There are dangerous and violent people in every race, some of them just happen to have the money to live in nice neighbourhoods.

your first mistake is assuming that it is because they are minorities, when in truth it is just poor areas. If you put a ton of poor white people in the same area you would have the same results. The reason these areas are high crime is because, the lack of education in these individuals and broken homes where children are unsupervised. Also, you should research something called broken windows. Basically, what this is about is that run down neighborhoods breed crime. Also, there is a lack of funding in these neighborhoods leaving children with less to occupy them as opposed to children in middleclass or above neighborhoods.

I disagree, not really a question of being a minority. It's more of the economic state. There are places with no minorities that are equally as dangerous and violent.

I use to think that too. And, yes they are. Ever been to an ' upscale ' neighborhood? I've been through several. They're identical. The difference is purely cosmetic.
