Our 12 Swimming facilities are putting together a Lifeguard Swimsuit Calander for 2008 to raise mony for the many swim teams in our area. The commitee chose the Men for the year 2008. I was asked to be in the Calander, even my g/f wants me too. BUT, wearing a tiny bikini when swimming in competition or practices or while lifeguarding is O.K. but this calander being sold all over, should I just say no, or just do it for the Swim Teams. Help?

You should ask your boss if it's ok to pose for a swimsuit calendar. I mean, I say it's ok, as long as there won't be any issues or problems afterwards. I don't want you losing your job just because you decided to pose for a calendar.

don't belittle yourself, unless you plan on making a career out of modeling, in which case this might look good in your portfolio.
I think this is a tacky way and a cheap excuse for raising money. Just donate the money and your time. You will feel better, and you will keep your dignity intact.

Obviously you are in good shape and have some good looks to go with it. You have worked hard to get that way
I would go for the calender-can't you wear your normal life guard suit?

I'm assuming you are young, healthy, and in shape. You won't always be-- while it might be a bit humiliating to have all but your naughty bits shown in your community, you'll be one of few who can say they've done it. Plus, you won't always be young and sleek. I say give it a go!

its up to you.. you dont need to have other people making this decision for you... if you feel uncomfortable posing for pictures in just a swimsuit.. dont do it.. but if you feel like you want to and you can.. then do it.. dont feel pressured to do something just because people want you to. don feel like you have to do.. it is perfectly OK to turn it down if you arent comfortable with it. yes, it is a fund raiser, but there are plenty other people to do it... dont give in to peer pressure
