some details about my question is that before i even added this, most of you assumed i was gay, and for that moment, when i was reading your answers i now have an idea what it feels like to be hated on for no reason. This is my wish to the guy who told me to stay away from his children, with my gay views, i hope that one day you actually believe all that crap you pop about religion, because if you really believed in God and religion then you woould have loved me as another human being regardless. My point has been served. I am a happily married heterosexual and have no cares about sexuality and whose in love with who or sleeping with who, but love all. People like that guy put a bad taste in my mouth about religion, i haven't met many open minded religious people in my life time yet.

My belief is that this is a result of a socialist society. Look at it this way, when people are a part of a collective, then we take care of everyone else as well as ourself. Since we take care of others, then we have a say in how they should live.

Look at national health care, for example - If I have to pay for part of your health care, then you should be responsible to keep yourself healthy, and if you don't, if you cost me more money, then I should have a say in who you take care of yourself. After all, it's my money that you are spending.

Same is true with gays. Since Social Security and Taxes are paid by the collective, then the collective determines the rules on who collects and pays to these programs. Your choices will cost me money, and since I don't share your views, why should I support you?

The best way to insure you live the way you desire (as you should) is to reduce the amount of socialism that we have in this country.

Eliminate the death tax so you can pass YOUR money to who you desire when you pass away.

Privatize Social Security so your partner can inherit YOUR money when it's time.

Support the Fair or Flat tax so you can have the same tax structure as everyone else.

Remove the ability of the gvmt to micro manage social policy, get them out of our lives. The only proper roll of gvme is to protect the rights of the individual.

I could care less or give a s*** if your gay. Just stay away from me and my kids. I don't want all the years of teaching them right from wrong as the bible says, to be for nothing. To each his own, but not to me. And, if you will read the bible, it does matter in the eyes of the lord. And last but not least, don't shove your gay pride on the people who don't want it.

It matters to those who believe that a gay lifestyle is an abomination to a loving God, who died for them to be free from the works of a wicked mind. Not that the gay lifestyle is any more sinful than a heterosexual adulterer. But that the lifestyle is a mind set that perpetrates and cultivates the attitude that God is not needed nor is his ways acknowledged. This is totally against all that Jesus Christ died for to redeem back a dead spirit. The wicked mind is at war with God, and will not be conformed to His ways nor accept his lovingkindness for its protection from sin.
People who have accepted by faith that Christ is God, and all his precepts by obeying his word, have let go of the "me first" attitude, and seek only what God desires. That includes loving others, and letting them know that Christ died for them.
The consequence of not trusting in faith what Christ has done on a cross is death and eternity in hell. Totally separated from God never to return again. This is what everyone who trust God fully is and is abiding in the Spirit of God will believe and as such, will have a love and compassion for all humanity, even the sinners who are caught in homosexuality.
With all that being said, have you trusted all your life to God's love and protection? If not, what is keeping you from it?
I know I did and it has made all the difference.

It just doesn't make sense, thats why it matters. I think its ridiculous that people can't find love in the opposite sex.
I do care because if I had to chose a doctor, one straight and one gay....I would certainly choose the straight one, even if he wasn't as good a doctor.

I wish people didn't care. Unfortunately - everyone who plays an important role in our lives seems to care - our families, our leaders and politicians, etc. I am hopeful that we will advance as a society, though. One day, folks will look back on the times when gays were denied rights as they look back on the days when women and blacks were denied rights. Our time will come, but we have to continue fighting for it!

Im gonna say its safe to assume that people like labels. I dont know why but they just feel comfortable with labels.
You are not going to buy some juice with out a label on it right? I dont know..... its just how people are I guess.... Life would be so much easier if we were all gay!

I am not gay...but I have friends that are and to me it does not make a hill of beans difference one way or the other. You either like people for who they are or you do not. It matters not what they do behind closed doors or with their partner. :) Cheers

GOD states it's an abomination. Yes, I would say it matters. I really don't care to hear about anyones' sexual orientation, however it does seem to get thrown in our faces alot. Life can not go on if you have sex with the same gender. Thank you and may GOD come soon to correct the wrong in this world.

In my view it should only be as important as people preferring choclate or vanilla ice cream. But have noticed that the straights are concerned about our sexuality but we could not care less about theirs.

That's what we call RACISM!!!!!!!!!

I may be heterosexual, but i'm against all sorts of racism!! i agree that people should care... everyone has freedom to choose their sexual preferances.. people who judge homosexuals are narrow-minded!
