I have a 29 day cycle, and I was supposed to get my period on February 16 and instead I didn't come on until February 21. My last 4 menstration dates have been November 23, December 21, January 19, and February 21. Do you think I qualify as having an irregular cycle? A couple of weeks before I got my period in February, I did have a high fever with an ear infection. Is it possible that could have something to do with it and delayed my ovulation date.
I did notice that with this cycle that on February 10, I had some spotting ( I had sex 3 times during my fertile period). I had never had this happen to me before. I also noticed that my cervix has not fallen back down to its "infertile" state. I became high during the first week of February and has not changed since. My cervix is soft, high, and wet. I have only been checking it since my January cycle. Could someone give me any information about my situation if they know anything?

Question: What are irregular periods? How do I know if I have them?

Answer: Menstrual cycles that vary more than a few days in length from month to month are considered irregular. Most menstrual cycle intervals occur about every four weeks, with the normal range between 24 and 35 days. To measure your menstrual cycle, start counting from the first day of your last period and stop counting on the first day of your next period. Don't worry if you have one or two irregular cycles; Occasionally all women have variations. True irregularity persists over several months so if you do notice wide fluctuations in your cycle, speak to your doctor about it.

That would not be concidered an irregular cycle, many woman experience an unusual period once in a while so i wouldn't worry about it.
